FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lloydminster and District Co-op Launches the Kindness Wins Rural Grant to Support Community Kindness Projects
Lloydminster, SK/AB — Lloydminster Co-op is proud to announce the launch of the Kindness Wins Rural Grant, a new funding program designed to support kindness-focused initiatives
in the rural communities we serve. Applications open today, February 25, and will be accepted until March 31, 2026.
The grant is made possible through a portion of proceeds from the sale of our Kindness Wins apparel, which continues to be generously supported by our community. A portion of
proceeds will also support Beyond Border Circle of Change as they help advance anti-bullying programming, training, and student-led initiatives in local schools.
The Kindness Wins Rural Grant provides up to $1,000 per project to schools, community groups, and non-profit organizations located in rural areas Lloydminster & District Co-op
serves. The program aims to empower local groups to bring meaningful, kindness-centered ideas to life—projects that foster connection, inclusion, and support.
“Small acts of kindness can have a big impact in our rural communities,” said Tess Wack, Director of Marketing & Community Relations, Lloydminster Co-op. “Because this grant is
funded through our Kindness Wins apparel line, it’s truly powered by our community. Every purchase helps bring these projects to life.”
Eligible projects may include (but are not limited to):
• Buddy benches or shared outdoor spaces
• “Cookies and colouring” events with seniors
• Welcome baskets for new families
• Community kindness days, art projects, or student-led initiatives
• Intergenerational or inclusive programming
This is the first year Lloydminster Co-op is offering the Kindness Wins Rural Grant, expanding its commitment to supporting community wellbeing across the region.
