Lloydminster, AB/SK – The Lloydminster Museum + Archives will host a presentation, “Canada’s British Home Children – Almost Forgotten,” on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. The visual presentation will cover the history of over 100,000 British children sent to Canada as indentured labourers between 1869 and 1948. There will be a question and answer session to follow. The session will be led by Susan Brazeau, an author, family and historical researcher, and former Lakeland College instructor.
The event is recommended for ages 16 and older due to the sensitive content covered. Tickets are $5.00.
